We're very pleased to be working with Water Skills Academy as an accredited SUP school. WSA do a lot of great work around the safety and education needed for water sports. As a company they have been hugely supportive and we could not recommend their courses enough.
Ally is a WSA trainer and will be delivering SUP safety and instructor courses with them. Keep your eyes peeled on Glasgow dates or via the WSA website.
Since 2000, we have been at the forefront of paddlesport education, surf instructor and beach lifeguard training.
We continually raise environmental and safety awareness through our growing network, develop skills through our courses and webinars, and champion change through the work of our phenomenal trainers and ambassadors.
Water Skills Academy (WSA) was born out of a desire amongst experienced watersports participants and trainers with the aim to amalgamate some of the most popular watersports courses and qualifications under one umbrella. WSA is continually evolving, learning and developing new products. Currently WSA offers instructor qualifications, workshops, schools/centre accreditation, mentoring and consultancy across the disciplines of SUP, surfing, lifeguarding, sit on top kayaking and coasteering. Over the years, through the many different ways we have accessed the ocean, open water and rivers we have learnt our trade from lots of different sources and sharing our knowledge is one of our goals.
For those who wish to start coaching we aim to equip you with the skills in your chosen discipline to run sessions safely and informatively for both the public and friends or family.
Training and guiding others on and in our oceans and waterways, ensuring respect, recognising our privilege and taking accountability for the the planet - we live and play on.
Over the last few decades our team of trainers and ambassadors have been significantly involved in many watersports disciplines including Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP), surfing, coasteering, kayaking and lifeguard training. We are proud to have trainers who are extremely highly qualified and experienced in their chosen fields. These include athletes, trainer educators, teachers, activity school owners and national centre managers. Together the WSA knowledge bank is unrivalled by any other organisation. In the UK we have worked closely with the Adventure Activities Licensing Service to develop safe working and coaching practice.
We listen to industry needs, however more importantly we listen to our clients to help grow the WSA family. These key features combined separates the Water Skills Academy from any other provider in this field and guarantees you the best experience whether you are becoming a coach, leader, school or centre owner or just simply wanting to improve your own skills.
Our aim is to educate, explore and evolve and we continually seek to learn from others. We are open minded and keen to share our knowledge and skills with others.
We invite you to come and join us whether on one of our industry leading watersports instructor courses or one of our epic sup adventure trips.
