The New Gladiator Range Explained

Finding a stand-up paddleboard that hits the perfect balance of elite stiffness, lightweight portability, and realistic pricing can feel like searching for a needle in a haystack. Heavy premium boards cost a fortune, while cheap options flex like pool noodles. Gladiator defeat this by owning their own factories and cutting out the middleman. Gladiator delivers premium raw components directly to paddlers with a 3-year warranty and here is how to choose the perfect match from their new lineup.

The ONE Range: The Accessible Family Cruiser

Build Quality:

High-density, single-layer drop-stitch base with reinforced, puncture-resistant rails.

The Purpose:

Explicitly engineered for beginners and families who need an approachable, stable, and highly reliable introductory board. It strips away unnecessary weight and cost, making it easy to roll up and carry, while maintaining a flat, stable profile under a rider's weight.

The PRO Range: The Intermediate Step-Up

Build Quality:

Double-Layer Fusion technology, where two layers of PVC are thermally fused over a 1000 Denier knitted base. It features Triple Xstrong rail edges and handles an immense 26 PSI pressure threshold.

The Purpose:

Built for advancing intermediates demanding a noticeably stiffer, faster platform. The high pressure and rigid frame offer a "hardboard" feel that dramatically improves tracking and handling in choppy water.

The ELITE Range:

Premium Lightweight Touring

Build Quality:

A cutting-edge machine-woven drop-stitch core. Because a weave is tighter than a knit, it makes the board 20% lighter and significantly stiffer than standard fusion boards while holding 26 PSI.

The Purpose:

Designed for serious paddlers wanting maximum distance performance without the bulk. It cuts cleanly through water chop and features premium 6-point cargo setups for heavy touring gear.

The SUMMIT SPORT Range:

Pure Racing Trim

Build Quality:

Built on the exact same ultra-light woven foundation as the Elite, but supercharged with solid carbon fiber stringers running down the top and bottom center axes.

The Purpose:

Engineered strictly for high-frequency athletic training and competitive racing. The carbon stringers eliminate micro-flex from explosive paddle strokes, while a stepped kick tail allows rapid buoy turns and a sharp speed tail prevents suction drag.

Understanding the Tailored Shapes

Gladiator designs specific geometries to match your goals:

All-Rounders (10'6, 10'8): Wide, stable templates for family recreation.

All round performance (11'2 to 11'6): Great tracking for intermediate explorers.

Touring (12'6, 14'0): Available in "T" (Touring for 75kg+), "LT" (Light Touring 75kg-), and "W" (Wide for hauling heavy camp gear or for particularly tall paddlers).

Racing (14'0): Aggressive, narrow outlines (24", 26", 28") built purely for velocity.

When you unbox an Elite or Summit Sport board, it does not come with a standard paddle. Experienced paddlers already own a preferred high-end paddle, so Gladiator saves you the extra cost. However, if you need one, you can include a full carbon, 3-piece, anti-twist Gladiator paddle for just an extra £50 delivering the elite aftermarket performance at a massive discount.
